Help With Doom3 Modding (Forums : General Banter : Help With Doom3 Modding) Locked

I am currently working on an update for my existing mod, "Overzealous", for Doom 3. At the moment, I have learned how to mostly edit and change everything myself, but I have run into one problem. I am trying to make toggle weapons in D3, the same way that the player could toggle the default shotgun and double barrel shotgun in RoE. I've seen other D3 modders pull this off, and I've tried to replicate their code and RoE's to make toggle weapons, mainly, just make the BFG 9000 and Soul Cube share the same slot and toggle them with the same key. I haven't made any progress, as the game keeps them on their usual bind key setting.

I require help, and if anyone with modding knowledge and experience for Doom 3 could reach out and give me some tips on what to do, I'd appreciate it, and it would be a big help.

Point is very simple, analyze how programmer use crouch in game. What happens when player hit crouch(up and down). So define two states for shotgun keyboard key(crouch down - shotgun, crouch up - double barrel, for appropriate keyboard button 1-9(0)).
