Engine for true pixel games? | Locked | |

Hiya, what engine would you recommend starting with if I'd like to later focus primarily on pixel games? (I haven't used any engine before) From what i had searched Unity is not much suitable for true pixel games, but there are workarounds for it, but Im a game making beginner so I dont want to run into much trouble. By "true pixel game" i mean that all the pixels stay on a fixed grid, even when moving, rotations or special effects occur - as if it was all rendered in really low res and just upscaled to fit the screen without antialiasing. Btw I know how to code in C and Python, and wouldnt mind learning how to use coding in game engines. Edited by: Mizumaky |
