Any HL1 mods where there are meaningful additions to the base game? Thread

I've played quite a few HL1 mods. Some just rehashes of the same thing, some with added touches. Some complete conversions. I have played Half-Screwed and G-man Invasion and both are fun, but none really continue on with the story. Normally you get the same conversations or completely ridiculous ones for comedic relief, but nothing meaningful and they appear to be at random, rather than they need to be said at this point with this person. Also all enemies are placed the same, no new challenges, etc.

Has there been any projects or mods that delved deeper into the HL1 mythos? Where they use decent to at least good voice actors and tried to break the monotony? Talk about the weather. Talk about current (or then current for the time period) science and theories, cars, women, TV shows, books, movies, games, etc. (Before all hell broke loose anyway...) Or have more about the alien invasion and the US Marines killing it's own civilians in cold blood?

I have played and or beaten all these games and mods I have so far downloaded, some times more than once and it would be nice for a change of pace, without totally playing something different like a complete conversion like Poke646 and Azure Sheep, which both are good in their own right. Currently I am digging through pages of mods from this very site, but I will take any suggestions for HL1 mods. I am not really looking for Beta versions, although that would be nice as I have not played them either, but I am talking about HL1, but more in depth or expanded upon. Thank you.
