Introduction

We're currently working on the particle systems that will be needed for our game, we are creating these visual effects in Unreal Engine 5 using the Niagara system.

Progress

The main visual effect we are focusing on is related to moving the boulder, since moving the boulder is the main mechanic of the game, we wanted to add more to it.

When the player pushes the boulder we can see the boulder leaving dust particles behind.

In this example, we can also see that the boulder is about to fall in the hole.

Dust

When the boulder falls in the hole, the screen shakes and dust comes out of the hole.

As mentioned before, these effects were made with Niagara.
