Great tutorial the texture part really helped me out (been having trouble trying to figure out how to texture it just right)

You might also want to upload the .vmfs somewhere so people can open them up and compare there's to yours to make sure they did them right :)

I'm glad the tutorial helped you!

Having the .vmfs somewhere for download is a good idea! Many thanks for the idea.

hey i tested that on my computer and got some problems.
your way to do door is really fast and i want it to work, but i fail somehow....

ive tried everything, but the door i import (worldmodel) is too big.
i know the problem is doors size, cos:
-i have same sizes on wall that you used, but door is still bigger
-when i use same sizes, my frame textures work (on those settings you use), otherwise they are ****** up
-door is 1.5 times bigger than info_player =P
etc etc

is there way to fix this? is my unit settings messed or something?

when i last time used hammer(about half year ago :P) i was able to do doors that harder way (used some other tutorial) but all i remember about that is that its too complicated for me to do much doors in one level, it would take me too much time xD
