The Empowered Creation Kit is focused on isometric RPG genre games.


Currently the engine is only built for Linux, however, it is able to be compiled on Windows and Mac, and in the future will be.


Libraries: SFML, Boost, TGUI( recently ported to from SFGUI )


Recent updates[12/20/2015]:

Vastly improved rendering system of tilemaps.

Vastly improved maximum loaded size of worldspace, ability to load hundreds of thousands of tiles at once maintaining 60 FPS on mediocre hardware (I'm still trying to reduce RAM consumption however).

Significant changes to GUI system. SFGUI is a nice and polished library, however TGUI introduces less complexities, offers more widgets, and direct flexibility.

Command line controls. I made the decision that anything that can be done through a gui can be done through a command line console also. Currently the command line is actually the primary control, allowing commands like "set brush_size 5,5" to change the brush size in the editor, or "set draw_grid false" to remove grid drawing in editor. The command line can also be used to create and load modules, create and import/export resources etc.

Module system. Now game pieces belong to modules, allowing for easy modification and distribution of game features.
