The project started expanding more than a VR Tour to Vortex Rickers
there are 3 levels so far that can be visited in the demonstration and more are going to be released
this update is about enhancing more the Unreal Intro level by adding animated and static meshes also making minor changes to lighting to come a step close to the original.

its not mandatory to have a VR headset, my goal is to optimize it for VR not make it a vr exclusive.
You sir are a star. Will you be useing the extreme def textures with this too or entirely new ones? I noticed someone else asking a similar question and the extreme def textures are 2k resolution.

Why the use of those other textures instead of the originals? I prefer the originals personally.
to be honest the original textures seem too blurry in ue4 consider that the resolution of them is 64x64 or 128x128 pixels so i wasn't so happy with the result. but i can include them in the project if there is a big demand for them consider also the project is open source and you can make your own changes
Yeah that makes a lot of sense. You did the best choice I think. I'd absolutely love to pitch in and help as I absolutely love the original game and have always wanted to see it remastered to some extent but I don't know a single thing about engines or coding or anything. I'm thinking about starting to learn though, just for this. Anyway, fantastic work mate. I'm glad it's open source as well so the community can get this thing going!

Thank you very much my friend! The next goal is to upload NyLeve Map first in the github repository then in the vr tour demo.
Downloaded the UnrealVR_Vortex_Rikers_Tour.rar but 7zip is unable to open the archive at all.
was only able to open with WinRar itself even though 7zip should be able to open .rar files. You might wanna consider making this a normal .zip file instead so it's easily accessible to more people.

kwstasg this is AMAZING! Unreal 1998 is my favorite game of all time, walking through Vortex Rikers was a dream come true! It's so absolutely immersive and beautiful, the guns are brilliant! Please keep this project going, I will tell as many people as I know about it.
