Description

Here is a small patch fixing some of the small but obvious problems that came with release, as well as adding a few small features. Read below for installation instructions and a changelog.

its a no from me since you still failed to fix the issues that prevent the mod from working properly and that the bandits cannot be attacked without it crashing

What issues that prevent the mod from working are you referring to? You said before that you were able to fix the mod, and everyone else who had problems seems to have resolved their issues. When did you start experiencing crashes with fighting bandits? So far nobody has said anything about crashes with bandits. There was one report of crashes related to manhunters, but that's it.

Yeah, your save will still work, but some of the changes will take effect with a new save, such as the players new firearms skills, Cabot Forbes' new weapon, and the changes in the markets.

Could be a good idea if you might include the option to disable the companions from leaving the player's party btw.

I've been trying to find info on how to enable the ability for the player to say they will hang the companion for desertion if they try to leave, but it seems to be hard to find.

I think i did something wrong because everything works accept i'm still seeing medieval marks such as like army symbol in the map still being the knight with the sword and the towns and villages being medieval but everything else works

Hi, I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but if I am understanding you correctly, here are the answers to your questions.

Scenes are not finished and still use assets from native. In battles, when you press backspace, you will see the new symbols on the map, such as the bugle replacing the infantry icon, crossed rifles for archers, and crossed sabers for cavalry. If you are referring to the little 3D character on the campaign map that represent yours and AI parties, those are not worked on yet and remain the same as in native.

Weird, i do not see the crossed rifles and such when hitting backspace but every time i'm in a battle it normally crashes midway though

The game can be stressful on the computer and crashes sometimes, the engine is old and doesn't hold up very well. Matsuri5 has done a lot of reorganizing in the brfs since the last release, in order to cut down on clutter and make it easier for the computer to load the mod's resources. From what I am seeing on my end, it seems to have improved performance. I haven been testing the mod in battles with many soldiers (I actually even use 200 with the M&B:WB Battle Size Changer) and so far no crashes in battles. Experience has shown me I can't trust that it works for everyone just because it works on my end, so a select few trusted testers can try it out before the next public release.

A quick fix for now would be to try lowering your settings, especially the amount of soldiers in battle at once, because that has a big impact on performance. Loading many different textures from the uniform variations can strain the computer. ~100 - 150 soldiers is usually stable, but you should adjust your settings to fit your needs.

In regards to the missing icons for the battle map, that is very strange. There is a file called "interface.dds" inside the mod's textures folder. If you can open that, you will see the icons should be there. If they are not, let me know. If they are there, but are not showing up in the mod, that is extremely weird and I am not sure what the cause could be right now.

Edit: If all else fails, try to make a clean installation of the mod again, follow the instructions closely, and eliminate the possibility of human error on your part. That will ensure when I look for the problem, I know for certain there is something wrong on my end and that I am not on a wild goose chase.

You aren't following the installation instructions then. You need to install v1.5, then apply the hotfix. When installing the hotfix, don't use the method with expanded horizons unless you already know what you are doing with that. Then you can apply this patch over that.

I started the game with a flag already, even though I didn't choose a noble background. Also can you enlist with an army, similar to in Gekokujo? Thanks a lot :)

Really? What background choices did you make? I mean, it's kind of a good thing I suppose haha, so you can use the new banners anyway. No freelancer in the mod though, sorry. We looked into it, but it requires the module system, and using the module system requires us to rebuild the mod on a new foundation. We might actually do that at some point, but not for the foreseeable future. New version coming soon, and a number of other popular community requests have been fulfilled. Stay tuned! :)

it keeps crashing for me every time i get into a medium sized battle

Try lowering battle size and some of the more demanding settings. Unfortunately crashes seem to be due to .lod's not being properly set up in the mod's brfs, but we have since fixed this and so far no more crashes. We are going to start private testing very soon for the next release of the mod, me and Matsuri5 are just about done with our changes. Lots of new content, fixes, and even some community requested features. Stay tuned!

It's usually a problem with moddb website. Keep trying, it will work eventually. Either that, or try to use a different program to extract the mod. Sorry that it's giving you trouble, but no worries though, it will download eventually. Others have had the same problem and it eventually worked. :)

Try again in a day or two, give it time. The error you're getting isn't related to the mod itself. It's been encountered before and it always works eventually.

Hello, i have a problem, the game keeps crashing during fights, i tried with low graphic settings but it keeps crashing, 'Mount and blades stopped working', But for other mods it seems to work fine, could you help me fix it or atleast improve that on the next update?

we're aware of the problem and are trying a workaround & bugretrieving (if u all find any, u can report to us)
Perhaps toning down on casualties/army size/ragdolls/hd settings,
there are a few suspected culprits to random/battle ctd's,
but on older or weaker pc's u have a greater chance of them occuring.
