(redist folder should be in your Program Files/Amnesia - The Dark Descent)

It's unique, just heavy on the graphics and crashes often
Admittedly, this mod is a demanding one, hardware-wise. Probably what you encountered was crashing at load screens - for some reason computers identify Amnesia's long load screens as a crash, however if you give it time it's always fine.
Okay the very first moment of gameplay has serious issues. The ship has no floor, I can't move properly or even look around, and when I try to look around everything goes crazy
This might be caused by many things, but I'm afraid it's not the fault of this Custom Story - many people played the current version of the mod and noone else reported these problems.
Does your computer run Amnesia on high settings without stutter ?
Are you sure you copied the files correctly ?
My computer usually runs Amnesia perfectly, but occasionally there is a little bit of stutter. Could that really be behind the problems?
And yes, if it's just a custom story and not a FC, then I definitely copied the files correctly. I thought that might be the problem at first so I triple checked it, and redownloaded it twice.
I apologize if I came off as though I was faulting the mod, I noticed nobody else had reported those issues. I was just wondering if you had any insight into what the potential issues were
There are 2 possible fixes (try first one first):
1. In your Amnesia folder, find and open resources.cfg (use notepad). Add this line at the end:
<Directory Path="/custom_stories" AddSubDirs="true"/>
And save.
2. This might be a file conflict. If you have many CS's and/or FC's, some files might clash.
You can try to:
a)Remove your Custom Stories
b)Remove your Full Conversions
c)Do a fresh install
Because we don't know which file might cause the conflict, only option c) will fix the issue for certain.
Uninstalling the other stuff fixed it. Thank you for your help!

When I try to extract this all it says is that it cannot open it as an archive. Please assist.
First of all, update your archiving software and try again.
If it doesn't help, go to the 'summary' comment section, there's a thread about this on the first page.
If those don't work, tell me and I will add another upload in the .zip format
