Fixed up a lot of bugs from alpha 0.5, please try this version and tell us if you guys run into any other problems, thanks!
Bugs fixed:
Items related
- character disappearing when using bronze helmet
- some monsters are now not lootable (turtle, needlenose, warbird, gibbon, dark spiders, small lizard)
- only Adisa seems to sell car cockpits, and there's only 1
- Nan doesn't give you an engine to rest even when he says he'll give you an engine to test (you have to buy it)
- long and short cannons shouldn't turn 360
- missile turrets don't shoot at things in the air?
- can't cut the euphorbia plant!
- can't cut the arch plant in grassland!
- what plant gives resin?
- vehicle parts/guns are not in adventure or build mode (should be!)
- the color for cars don't get used up in the tool bag
- make all the items available for free or purchase in the adventure and create modesNPC related
- areas on the world map are sometimes not marked (Gerdy and Allen)
- NPCs don't actually mark anything on the map when they say they do! And sometimes they should be marking a large circular area
- the alien rescue story is completely messed up
- Tariq gets stuck behind trees a lot on the way to the alien base
- Rol and the other person gets stuck once they're out of the cage, cannot get past mission!
- Martians sound too quiet
- npcs should pause longer before walking off
- why's chen or any npc sitting when a scene is going on?!
- when the battle is done, gerdy's interaction pops up (and it's actually chen's) right before allen asks her if she's alright, shouldn't happen
- NPCs and buddies don't follow when fast traveling or when they're out of range
- NPCs can't be revived by the revival shot
- getting items from dead NPC may go outside its window when the NPC has too many items (UI)
- NPC character will play one animation continuously when hit by a charging animal
- NPCs don't seem to fatigue
- Adisa transparency in hair
- NPCs cannot pathfind in caves
- NPC jumps in water
- no exclaimation mark on backpack
- chenzhen's "lets go back to the camp" needs to be highlightedOther:
- trees still blink, not enough flora on the ground for fantastic tree level - cannot open the options menu ingame with the wrench
- still rains too much when loading in, make it so it doesn't rain when it start
- turrets fall into walls sometimes when you come from far away
- the red crown have a lot of problems in animation and the way they behave when on the ground, one of them just stops attacking when on the ground
- some turrets die but don't disappear
- turrets that doesn't have 4 blocks supporting needs to stop firing and have a red exclaimation mark on its head
- do missiles die when they miss and go really far?
- sword trails
- sword hit effects
- paint are to hard to come by (should be able to buy a lot or replicate a lot)
- the camera should push up before pushing close when clipping into the ground
- rivers don't show up on the minimap
- character will go into running motion when swimming at the river surface from below
- the breath from the red crown should knock a person to the ground
- the river plane right now just ends, no edge
- spread the animals out more within a group
- does the moon phase change at all?
app crash everytime I play either on story or adventure mode,Stuck at loading screen then just crashes on desktop.I had .4 version before and it was working fine got this build after seeing the update but I can't get it past the loading screen on this version any ideas why?
Are you loading your old save? Saves across version won't be compatible until a0.6. Sorry. :( Just start a new game when you launch the app and it should work.
I don't think Iam,or maybe iam,thing is I deleted the old folder and all the files along with it.I then extracted the new version ran it,played single-adventure mode it froze on the loading screen,crashes to desktop.I then restarted it played single player this time,got past the intro cut scene then same thing happened.Now it might be an error on my part not properly uninstalling stuff etc. or perhaps a corrupted download.Anyway as of this post I'm redownloading it,will give it another shot once its done.
The saves are actually in the windows documents folder. Go there and delete that folder as well just to be sure.
I have the same problem. I deleted the save folder and the game is still not working, freezes at 100%. Game version that I use is 0.51, it didn't work with 0.5 as well and that was the first version that I downloaded, I think it might be a common bug but you never know untill you ask people...
No, his was working before. Yours never worked...right? What are your specs and when you say freezes at 100%, are you loading story, adventure, or build. If the ladder two, what resolution?
So I deleted all old files including the save folder,re downloaded ver .51

Nah, it'll cost money, but no more than $30 at final release (I believe anything above $30 needs to be AAA). It'll be a lot cheaper during the Kickstarter campaign as well (in a week or two!). :)

Yes and no. Yes if we want the project to end up what we want, no if we just make a project with bare bones (relatively).

I just downloaded the game and every time I launch it... it just crashes with the error "planetexplorer.exe has stopped working" can anyone point me in the direction of some help?
