Theres alot to go through here in the new public release, so much so that the 1000 character max limit isnt enough. See the description for full features to this update.
Update Version 0.3.6.1
Changes to the crafting menu adding in new supports for item requirements. before crafting blueprints, recipes and enchantments were done with preset slots for items, these items did not have full requirements as to what they were or if they needed to be a specific condition. well now they do.
Item names have changed to include the condition and amount of items owned. Before the only way to find out what the condition of the item was to use the selections scroll, now its changed to use all condition variables in making the name.
Bugs from previous versions have been patched, you can find a detailed description in the logs below.
The use functionality has been added to the game as well as the ability to restrict using items based on the characters stats and restrictions. If they have an active beast-form it too will be restricted to using items. To see if a item was used successfully check the actions log by opening the tab to the right of the screen or check with the book when viewing actions on the page creator.
Small tweaks with the references have been added as well letting the system identify tags in the overworld map that it couldn't do in previous versions.
Items will now recognize the condition of itself and reflect this on the overall value. So an item at 100% condition will show a value of 100, where as an item with 50% condition and no rot or damage will show a lower value. I believe its 1/3 split up between the 3 settings so this means the value would be 85% of the original.
There is a small bug present with the use function that will be fixed later, opening the level up message without any need to do so, this will be fixed by the official build. But for now enjoy the new update and let me know in the discord or IM me if you have any problems.
Language system has been given an update, adding in the ability to change select words from one form to another, letting players add in their own custom languages into the game. Previously it would only change letters to another form.
Pages have received an update letting you add in new lines of dialog at will, before there was a preset structure and if you wanted more lines you would have to create a new page.
Background chat has been changed to only add pages to the book if the background conversation is in the same location as the current player. Bug fixes for background chat have also been addressed.
Items now have protection against unwanted editing. Players that chose to edit an item will have sole access to the item in question. So other players cant edit that item at the same time preventing unwanted changes or lost information. Proficiencies hud is locked out if that character is being edited. Children and owners are also included in this, if an item has an owner, it has been locked, same goes for owners with child items.
A calendar is added to the game allowing players to see their current locations time settings. This will show holidays as well as the custom weekdays set by that world. With this you can now create your own calendar months and week days. Default months and weeks have been added for new games. Youll have to set up the day of the week though in the game settings as the default date is monday regardless of the current date, For real time, the calendar doesnt add in leap years as that would restrict the months to the real world calendar.
Character stats have been added to the game bar, you can now see the current characters stats displayed with visual bars as well as their values and the values they require to fill them. This includes the body temperature, showing the optimal temp as well as if the character is getting warm or cold.
Default Images and music have been added to the game letting the Player select from the items already added to the game rather than looking online. You can select from the images or music provided or add your own! You can add custom images to the game saving them across all games. This is great if you dont want to remember a link and use it for multiple things, or in singleplayer you can use a specific file found on your computer! For default sounds you can preview the file before adding it into your game for optimal customization.
Previewing music is now a breeze, in the editor you can play the sound. If its a link it will open the media player, for default items it will simply play the music file.
