This is the last idea I could think of that might fix the bug for Linux 64, so please let me know if this will work.

Does not work again, I can open a pause menu, but no more. When I click on an icon at the bottom of the screen the game freezes and is going to shut down itself after a while. Deleting the unity config folder does not help.
