Patch Notes Final Version
-Reorganized maps. Also added a lobby, or level start with a tutorial. The map is the same branch as before with the exception of a reworked pre-ending 1 which added a new map, and the lobby with added another map. Please to start to play, load: The_Mansion_ByIknosabukandJamyzGeniusStartHere
-A small tutorial was made and added in the new lobby map. It covers basic elements about gameplay in Hello Neighbor The Mansion.
-We also want to thank a ton Ashi and Xiuocelotzin for beta testing the release. Thanks a lot to Niflick for his YouTube video showcasing our mod! We studied the video and did drastically changes. Thank you so much for your feedback guys! It is greatly appreciated.
-Also note! The 1.1 version guide and endings video works fine with this one. There are just some slight changes from 1.1. This version just adds guidance, and tweaks. The most drastically changes are the new green key puzzle and the new pre-ending 1. But you should have no issues at all with this version, it provides a ton of guidance to beat ending 1. To check the other endings, check our guide if you can. It provides a lot of detail on how to beat them, and how to beat any puzzles you find in the way. You can find our guide in this file, and in our mod page in Moddb
New Map, The_Mansion_ByIknosabukandJamyzGeniusStartHere
-Added doors that lead the player to the first level and or its endings plus parts. Just open a door and the level should load.
-Added a small tutorial section.
-Added guidance in the form of text for more reference for the player.
Main map, level 1. The_Mansion_ByIknosabukandJamyzGeniusDef
-Added many clues to guide players through the mansion objectives.
-Added text in between clues for proper guidance.
-Added several meshes in case the mansions close its doors and the player is still in the outside. Do note, the window can be trespassed if you jump through it.
-Reworked puzzle for the green key. Now the player has to run through the bookshelves. But! Do not touch the thing in the floor or the level will reset! This also made more sense for the first green padlock since the puzzle was a little bit silly before without the new elements.
-Added several candles and cameras to improve guidance for the player.
-Closed many areas that were pretty much for exploration, but which did not contribute to the objectives. Now, the level is more linear, but it is also more enjoyable. There is a less chance that you will get lost into this huge level.
-Added movement to the manager. Now, he actually can trap you. Note, if he traps you, you will spawn in the small ending 2. Now, the player screams! As it should be. This was done before, but the trigger did not work properly. Now it should be fine.
-Fixed two of the padlock colors in the underground house. Now, they should be yellow.
-Text displaying the uses of the keys is now shown. Also, there are clues on when you can throw a key.
-Reworked some lightning areas. For example, the green padlock has a green light now to be more distinguishable. Some areas also have reworked lightning. You will automatically see the changes when in-game.
-Added textures pointing clues and a couple of more secrets and Easter eggs. Find them! They are pretty cool. As a clue, they are where right is right :].
-I can’t remember what else we did to the map at all. There was so much work done today, but something is sure. We did our best to focus the map to be more player-friendly.
New Map for Ending 1 – Pre-Ending: The_Mansion_ByIknosabukandJamyzGeniusFinal1JFG-PT1
Basically, I was not satisfied at all with the final –JamyzGenius, and I decided to cut it and turn it into a new map. Right when you find the main character father. It was a little bit anticlimactic and rushed that I decided to do a standalone instance showcasing a more detailed encounter. I was happy with how it came to be. I hope you like it. Note, the level gives you instructions, but in case you get stuck. Help your father to move that thing and open the door.
Ending 1 Map: The_Mansion_ByIknosabukandJamyzGeniusFINAL1JFG
-Fixed many of the entities that opened the possibility for the level to break.
-The level is still breaking, but it happens so rarely now. I added a text and a button in the spawn-right area. There is a note there, if the level breaks. Jump to the text in the top and the level should reload. Use it as an emergency button because this level tends to break badly if repeated too much without beating it a single time.
-Reworked the lightning to show that there is an actual passage hiding in the paintings.
-Added a few items for the player to grab and break the window.
-Fixed the size of the window, now the player should do not have collision issues while falling.
-This level for some reason, happens incredibly rarely from all the tests I did, but it happens. Sometimes the player goes crazy while falling and it is like if it was a super heavy object. I suspect this is because of an object that also falls with the player at the same time. This causes the player to fall and causes the level to repeat, but this is when the level starts to behave abnormally. What causes it is the player falling and landing in a zone without entities or triggers. You should use the button to fix that.
-Fixed collision issues with some volumes that helped to access the next scene.
-Modified some triggers a little bit, so no player gets stuck or behind.
-If you get stuck on the part 2 of the second extended ending, just wait a few seconds and you should teleport to the right area.
-Fixed issues that prevented the level to be playable in Standalone mode. Now it’s playable in both, viewport and standalone the way it was meant to be played.
No changes were made to ending 3 maps.
After several tests to all the endings playing from level start to level one everything works fine. Now, there are non-game breaking bugs. I am not exactly sure if we will release another version. We may do it if we find a feature that does not allow to play the mod properly, or breaks the entire mod. I hope you enjoy the changes, and we hope this release is more player friendly.

Note, if there is any kind of odd bug or glitch (which should not happen) in one of these and you opened the main mission. Open these to return to the level you were.
-For the main level. Fixed an issue in which near the stairway made of refrigerators you get stuck if you fall to the back of the big table.
-While moving forward in Final2-2 Do not sprint, or you will get stuck. This happens in Final2JFG-2 or Part 2 and final of ending 2. Just, when going into the black hall and suddenly moving, do not sprint or move violently. To fix this, you have to repeat this level.
Old Non Version Release Readme / Slight modified.
1- Go to where your Hello Neighbor Modkit is installed.
Usually it should be Drive/Epic Games/HelloDevKit/HelloNeighbor/Plugins
Note: a quick access to this folder. Open the devkit. Next, select any kind of audio, map or texture file. Right click and choose the option “Show in Explorer” – With the new window open, you need to return to your main HelloDevKit folder and open the Plugins folder.
2- Locate the folder “Plugins”
3.- Drop the “TheMansionModbyIknosabukandJamyzGenius” folder in your plugins folder.
4- Go to your Editor or Devkit. Then go to your bottom right area of the screen where there is a small eye icon, and next to its right side there is a text displaying “View Options”. Click the small upside-down arrow that is after the text and enable the option “Show Plugin Content”
5- Next, go to your top/upper-left area of the screen and select “Edit” / Then, select “Plugins”
6- From the new window that opened, you should see in your left options a section called “Mod by FG Brothers” – After this, you should see our logo and the title of the mod “TheMansionModbyIknosabukandJamyzGenius” in your upper-right area of that window.
7- Make sure the plugin checkbox is Enabled in the lower-right part of the plugin section, right after the logo picture.
8- Next, close that window, then in your middle-bottom part of the screen from the DevKit, right after “Save All”, you should see a folder icon. Click it and select our plugin “TheMansionModbyIknosabukandJamyzGenius”
Note: if you do not see this, please restart the DevKit. If after that you don’t see the folder. Please review the previous steps carefully. If even after that it is not working. I am out of ideas. I apologize.
9- Next, open the folder Maps, and open “The_Mansion_ByIknosabukandJamyzGeniusDef”
Note: Extremely important! If you are fresh to this mod and want to experience everything as how we meant to show it to you. Please do not open anything else. Especially the other folders at the maps folder. Also, if you want to immerse yourself better. Be sure to check our Notes section for commands to disable in-game text and/or pool size messages. Thank you so much.
10- Click on your play button on your top-middle area of the screen. Then, the game should start after a little bit. This first map takes a little bit to initialize. Let it load, if you see a black-screen, wait until it banishes and brings you in-game.
Note: You can change to an independent window if you wish instead of playing in the editor viewport. Here are the steps.
1-Click the upside down arrow that is next to “Play”
2-Choose the option “Standalone Game” instead of “Selected Viewport”
3-Click play, it may take longer than in the previous option, but you will have an independent window to play it. If you want to maximize the window. Click the windows key and press two times the upper bar of the window to auto-maximize the screen.
You can also edit resolution and more in the preferences menu of the editor.
Route: Top-left area of the editor -> Edit -> Editor Preferences -> “Level Editor” section -> Play -> New Window Size -> Change 1280 x 720 to your desired resolution.
These values may be different for you, but should be under the “Play in New Window” section at your right-middle side of the window.

E – Grabs objects.
Space – Jumps
WASD – Movement
Right Click – Throws object.
Left Click – Activates or Deactivates objects such as Flashlights or unlocks doors. Note, do not confuse with E, which opens the actual door. You may use click while having a key to unlock a padlock.
Control – Crouches.
Escape – While in-game in an independent window or “Standalone game” option selected pauses the game. While playing in viewport mode, closes the instance and returns you to the editor.
Hello Neighbor The Mansion is a mod that brings three new maps and a new story. In this mod, you are rescuing your father which made the wrong deal with the wrong person; you have to rescue an exploited artist that makes art for the devil. This mod brings a more linear gameplay combined with horror elements. [This mod is also currently developed for the 2017 Mod Contest.]
Hello Neighbor: The Mansion
A mod by the FG brothers (Iknosabuk and JamyzGenius) Presents Hello Neighbor: The Mansion. This is a mod that showcases a story made in an alternative reality. In a quick glance to this reality shows that the neighbor is in-fact your father, and your actual neighbor became the manager of your father.
To grab context and put things in more perspective. Your father is an artist, and he felt into the wrong hands by a manager that is not from this reality. The devil disguised as a manager made your father sign a contract from which he cannot quit easily. He has him captive in his own mansion. Your father is also suffering from mental issues which prevent them from remembering his past. There has been almost two years since you last saw him, and you have to rescue him from the beast. This is the last chance you have before your father forgets everything completely. Enter the mansion at night, and do your best to save your father’s life and escape from the tyranny of the devil. If you look deep enough in the levels. You may find a huge chunk of the missing pieces from the puzzle. Do you dare to enter the mansion?
This is a single player mod that contains a linear style gameplay. Your objective is to find four keys that unlock specific doors to access the new areas. The mansion has four floors and it is your duty to reach the lowest level of the building to rescue your father. In the process, you may also find a couple of secrets. Open your eyes wide!
This mod contains the following:
-2 Secrets / Easter Eggs.
-3 New Levels [1 exploration level and 2 chase/action levels].
-3 finales/outcomes – 2 small endings and 1 grand finale.

2- The_Mansion_ByIknosabukandJamyzGeniusFINAL1JFG – Final 1.
3- The_Mansion_ByIknosabukandJamyzGeniusPT2 – We do not recommend to play or open this one until you finish Final 1. It will take you another run from the Beginning map.
The experience should take you from level 1 to any of these endings. Please do not open any of the other maps if it is your first run. But in case you get glitched, or something did not work fine and you want to not repeat everything. Feel free to open the Final1JFG or PT2.
What we do not really recommend to open first, only after you went through these.

If you find any kind of bugs and want to report them to us, you are more than welcome to do so.
Please strongly note. This is mainly a horror/suspense mod. If you are not really accustomed to light screamers, loud noises or experiences similar to Amnesia the Dark Descent by Frictional Games or Outlast by Red Barrels Studio be careful with this mod. It contains those. Not as heavy as these games, but you are warned. If you know you will not get a great experience from these genres, treat this one carefully. Also, if you suffer from anything that makes you feel ill while experiencing horror, suspense, or anything related. Please, again, treat it carefully.
Please note that the trailer was recorded before the final touches. The plan was to create a trailer to present the mod first, but things went smoothly and we were to the point of the polish scene faster than expected. Some environments/scenes may change drastically, but not all of them.
This mod lasted in development about three weeks, not counting in hours but by an approximately time. It was done with the free time of Iknosabuk and me ranging from several hours to sometimes one or two per day.
This is a different style of mod, as previously said it is more about a linear experience. For this situation we wanted to add more suspense to the mod, but the action scenes are there.
Also note, this is our first mod for this game. It may not be exceptional but we hope you enjoy it :]. We spent a ton of time working on this one.
Some puzzles/obstacles require you to jump, run or act fast. Please be ready for anything the game throws at you! especially while in the action scenes. We made the puzzles in a very light way so anybody can enjoy and play this mod.
For this mod, we used several sounds from freesounds and a song from musopen. All of the sounds with the exception of one are Creative Commons Zero license. Permission was also asked for one of the sounds with a special license as I find it necessary as the license was Attributive. It was accepted. Below, you will see the sounds, their creators and a link to their respective sources.
