Galactic Armory Optional Resources Pack (GA-ORP)

This pack contains resources that have been removed from the main release of Galactic Armory due to issues with memory usage. For those with very powerful computers (especially LOTS of system and video RAM!) we are releasing these resources as optional content. Be warned, however, that installing this can and WILL make your game run much less stable (i.e. crash more often) and use much more memory.
A 64-Bit OS with more than 4 GB of RAM is highly recommended.
Content
High Resolution Planet Textures
This folder contains planet textures of a resolution up to 2048x2048. Installing these will greatly increase Star Ruler's memory usage.
Please note that these textures are now considered obsolete and will not be updated if new/improved textures are released.
Loading Screens
The loading screens (aside from looking cool) were meant to contain useful hints especially for new players. Since this information (and more) will be moved to a complete mod manual at a later time, these have been removed from the base mod to reduce memory load.
Polarstorm Shipset High Resolution Textures
The textures for this particular shipset had originally been created with 2048 resolution in mind. Sadly, textures this large tend to your eat system memory for breakfast in Star Ruler, so we had to cut them from the main release (which contains them as 1024 version). Installing these will result in MUCH crisper and more detailed textures for this shipset, though.
Recolored Vanilla Shipsets
neumon_blue and terrakin_green were the first "new" shipsets released for Galactic Armory. These are both recolors from the base game shipsets and have been removed from our main mod release to further reduce memory usage.
Installation
To install any of these, simply open the corresponding folder (i.e. "Loading Screens") and drop the contents into your Galactic Armory folder (i.e. C:\Games\Star Ruler\Mods\Galactic Armory\).
