Rhetoric Games is seeking a Game Director to help manage the technical side of the developmental process. I'm the project Creative Director, and I personally don't have the knowledge to manage or instruct programmers or any other discipline that deals with code. As Creative Director, I handle design and story--as those are the only things I feel confident in managing. It is preferred if you have made a game before, but not required.
About the Game:
The game is a post-apocalyptic survival horror semi-open world thrill ride. It focuses on themes of redemption and religion. The story focuses on the role religion plays on society and how that shapes our culture. The narrative will be delivered in-game--in a similar vein to State Of Decay--but with the gameplay style and visuals of Hellblade: Senua Sacrifice (with a hint of The Last Of Us).
About the Developer:
We're a relevantly small startup development team, which compromise of 4 people, all of whom are programmers. We're using pre-built assets to make our first built of the game to get a good feel of it. Once we're done the first built, we're going to replace all the pre-made stuff with original content.
