The convention, which has traditionally been restricted to media and developers only, will be open to the public for the first time in 2017. Having not attended myself but only hearing anecdotally from others, apparently this is quite the event spread across castles and other awesome things. This gathering will feature hands-on gaming with Paradox’s titles, as well as direct interaction with the creators and developers from Paradox and their partner studios. Some of Paradox’s top personalities will lead seminars and panel discussions, sharing their insights into such topics as modding, the development process at Paradox, AI programming and much more.

"2016 has been the year where Paradox has really opened up to the world, and the new PDX CON is the next step in that journey,” said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive. “We’re opening the convention up so we can meet our biggest fans, share our new announcements with our players first, and see if they can beat me at Hearts of Iron IV! I’ll see you all in Stockholm!”

Details on these events as well as other activities (including parties, special guests and speakers) will be revealed in coming months. Tickets for the convention are on sale now.
