Founded in 2011 by researchers in intelligent systems and veterans from AAA gaming, Hololabs fuses creative interaction design with advanced engineering to create stunningly rich but simple new media experiences. With a portfolio ranging from interactive physical installations to mobile games and virtual reality, the company has collaborated with many renowned artists, participated in a number of festivals and conferences, and has won international rewards for its products. With the goal of creating original experiences that promote creative expression, Hololabs was fortunate to receive funding from the Canada Media Fund to develop Papercade, scheduled for release in the spring of 2014. As a hybrid of creative tool, social platform and casual mobile game, Papercade allows players to easily create and share their own games and interactive stories.
