GSC Game World is a Kiev-based computer game developer. Founded in 1995 in Kiev, Ukraine, it released titles such as Cossacks: European Wars, American Conquest, Alexander, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and is working on titles such the second part of Heroes of Annihilated Empires trilogy. In 2004, GSC Game World founded the publishing branch GSC World Publishing. GSC Game World's most successful game series is Cossacks, but it is also known for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, a survival shooter which has been in development for seven years and was released in March 2007. Most of its titles are published in Europe by Cdv Software Entertainment.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been cancelled. With this announcement, GSC has also been shut down. GSC Game World stated reasons why such as, "We did not reach agreement with the rights owner regarding the use of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. brand." Members of the team have now formed Vostok Games and are working on Survarium; a free to play MMO.

Extremely outdated information, both GSC and STALKER 2 are alive and kicking. The description needs changing.

to anyone out there - I can't even open Cossacks 2 Napoleonic Wars, just get the message

and XP (sp1, 2 and 3) compatibility mode doesn't work nor does run as administrator. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I've searched everywhere for a solution to this problem but i cant find a any. please I really want to play this game.
