Gang Beasts (prototype)
FightingGang Beasts (prototype) is a silly local multiplayer party game with surly gelatinous characters, brutal mêlée fight sequences, and absurdly hazardous...
Boneloaf was setup in 2011 by three brothers (James Brown, Jonathan Brown, and Michael Brown) to make games and toys informed by an adolescence spent scribbling line drawings of grim and hideously ugly characters. The company was formed as part of the DigitalCity Fellowship scheme, a 6 month mentoring and training scheme for companies working with digital technologies supported by the European Regional Development Fund and Teeside University.
The company name comes from a misnomer that we use to refer to the hunks of collectable meat in Sega's Golden Axe, Capcom's Final Fight, and other games.
Since finishing the DigitalCity Fellowship scheme we have experimented with numerous platforms and technologies making a series of game prototypes, a number of which were built with variations of a custom character manipulation framework; the game prototypes were Bait (Shark Jam / MiniLD 46), Bear Family Simulator (made for Makers and Hackers Sheffield), Gang Beasts, Grim Beasts, Meat Game (Ludum Dare 28), Star Beasts, and Treasure Goblins (First Play Game Jam), some gameplay videos from these prototypes can be seen on the Boneloaf YouTube channel (see Youtube.com).
From the numerous prototypes we made we have selected three games that we are continuing to develop, Gang Beasts, Grim Beasts, and Star Beasts (working titles).
Currently we are working on the Gang Beasts and Grim Beasts prototypes with illustrator Jason Pugh and sound designer Robert Larder.

and when i try to play in any level my screen turns black but it keeps playing the game, when i punch i hear it, what do i do to fix this.
This site hosts the Unity 4 pre-alpha builds of Gang Beasts (not the Unity 4 alpha or Unity 5 alpha builds from Steam), if you need support please email support@boneloaf.co or post a thread on the Steam forums at Steamcommunity.com, please include information about which build you are using (there should be an alpha-numeric string at the bottom right of the game menu with text like "UW:.0.2.5a" this is the build reference), please also include information on the specific operating system you are using.
used to work on my labtop, keeps crashing on my moms pc windows suggested i tell the developer that 2014-11-28_205508 crashed next to game executable. , it was fun while it lasted. wish there was a demo for the consoles; which may also aid in publicity and donations.
There isn't a console demo but we plan to make a feature limited version of the Unity 5 build for Windows, OS X, and Linux when we have made it stable (in the next 4-6 weeks).
