Description
So someone asked for a design for my take on a floating castle so here it is, after weeks of work i have finally felt that it is good enough to be released for all of you. several hints for this map, the light in the lake holds some significance. In case you need to escape because enemies have infiltrated your castle, theres a quick way out in the vault. the rest you can find by yourselves, btw next to the island i was testing a new idea with dispensers, and I already have a great idea that will top all my previous work, but it will take the longest. Unzip the file and it will be a world save, just place it in where you keep your world saves and when you open minecraft, select it. For mac users the save files is under Libray->application support->minecraft->saves.

i always did want to rig it so that one tnt goes off one after an other, so you can stand from a distance and watch a cinematic destruction.

My favourite thing about the design is how it looks like it's just pulled a chunk of earth out with it.
Thanks, thats what I was aiming for, like as if a wizard ripped it out of the ground and the only thing stopping it from floating away are the four chains, also if you haven't noticed i placed some dirt blocks floating under the castle as if some dirt was falling from the underside. That all took me one whole day, well most of it was waiting for the grass to migrate from the ground to the island.

Doesn't for your what? your windows? your mac? and by it I assume you mean the map right? please be more specific so I can try to help you. Are you sure you place the file in the right place?

yea same with me i place the save in the folders but it doesnt show the save in the game
ok this is weird i found and dl mcedit and i made a new world i go to nether i find the portal then i go in it and i ended up in the castle so it some how made it in the world save so ill just move the spawn and ill be good to be in the castle and it will be like it was there all along
there is no level.dat in it's folder :/
thats really odd..never had this problem before, ill upload it again and check that everything is there, I'm terribly sorry.

Use the Elevator mod and make some elevator towers. No need for the steps
I'm not quite sure on how to use mods yet so I'll just hold off on working with them.
Put a basement in: A hole in the floor of the floating bit and a water elevator down to the underground. Maybe a big mob spawner for giggles or a metro station leading nowhere xD
How do you open the file?
its in the description, but thats only for macs, I'm not sure how to do so on a windows but I'm sure its quite similar
For windows it would be C:\Documents and Settings\*username*here*\Application Data\.minecraft\saves the application data folder mabey hidden

my computer wont let me play this map, anyone else having this problem?
it downloads fine but wont appear in my list of worlds when i put it in the saves file...
Hey man...I've put in the file in my minecraft but cant seem to find the castle
OK for those with problems, when you spawn you should be in a desert, you should be able to see a surface pit of lava, go past it and you will see my castle, or just simply set your distance on far.
