From the conception of the project one of our primary goals has been achieving the kind of stylistic look you find in modern 2D animation. This is a lofty goal to acomplish in 3D and we won't pretend that we're there yet, but one of the biggest hurdles to reaching that point is the shader with which the lighting is achieved. Today we can proudly say we've succeeded in creating a shader that can reach that look.
It's an exciting day for us.
As indieDB caters to a more niche audience we imagine there may be some technically minded readers among you. If by chance you are interested in the process of how we achieved this look ,we'd be happy to answer questions on the process on our community discord Discord.gg
