Leaden Sky is back with a brand new perspective. The game now takes totally different form but keeps it's story, characters, enemy types and locations from the original 2022 version.
Now thanks to the change of perspective to 3D FPS the game will provide significantly better combat, level design and freedom not possible to achieve in 2D. The changes don't end here, there is a lot more improvements coming in future, featuring half-open world, book-level detail for storytelling, brand new cutscenes with significantly improved artstyle, advanced AI, greatly improved horror and more.
For now I have a little teaser for you, but full trailer is coming soon along with playable demo, enjoy!

Turned to maximum awesomness. Wish You BIG success!
Thanks a lot!
As cool as this looks I'm gonna miss the side-scroller project that could have been, it was a VERY fun demo from awhile back!
That being said, I can't wait to see more of this current version of Leaden Sky!
Oh it's still gonna be, the 2D is just a side project now so a smaller game in length but still will be finished at some point and will stay related to story of the currently developed one. Instead of being a different version it will tell part of the story not mentioned in main storyline so it will be a nice addition to overall experience.
And thanks a lot!
boa sorte espero que tenha um grande sucesso

hey played your demo, was wondering why the death animations were downgraded? was the one thing that made the game stand out so well and make the gameplay dynamic. Hopefully you can implement this in this new project and direction. Trepang 2 is one for inspiration, but with your animations you did in your old builds im sure you can do the same with this and make it more visceral than trepang 2!
Hey there, the demo you played is currently outdated, so I'm afraid there is no point of discussing it now.
All I can say is that when new demo comes out you will notice many changes to the concept, I'm focusing more on creating an immersive, atmospheric game with pretty open structure and horror elements slightly inpired by structure of horror elements in games such as Darkwood.
There will be much less focus on action and a lot less combat against human enemies so it will be an entirely different game than Trepang2.
Okay, but will you be including the gruesome death animations? Would add to the "horror". Also imo having a balance of human enemies and monsters would be very good in terms of gameplay. When i meant trepang 2 i meant in terms of enemy feedback when shooting them and when the die. I.e rolling about from wounds.
Thanks again.
