Hello everyone,

This week we want to show how the details will be part of the Soullings universe. What I mean about details? Everything that happens in game will be as much detailed as possible. In example, you can check the small gifs below and the picture. For a lumberjack (or woodcutter) every Ling will need an Axe (the basic one is the Stone Axe, but more types can be crafted by your Lings, like Iron, Silver, Gold and more). After you give some orders to them, it will be possible to see them really working: going to tree, chopping and getting items from ground and going back to the nearest Storage. This will happen for all jobs.

In example, how you set a new job for a Ling: first, you select the job type and then set it as the current job. By the way, the HUD and UI are just placeholders at the moment, we plan to change all HUD/UI. It is the same for some assets, they are just placeholders.

Then, after getting the tool, you need to give orders to them. In this "Lumberjack" example, you set which trees you want to be cut and they will do it as soon as they can (they can be eating, sleeping, resting, having fun ... if they are not busy, they will do it).

Each job has a level system. High levels in a specific job makes the Ling to work faster, better and maybe even find rare items (not in a tree, but with other type of resources).

The picture below shows a little bit of the Lumberjack system. We are trying to have as much details as possible without making the game too much "micro-management", but also with a "deep strategy" feeling.

All the jobs will be managed in a "life system" made for each Ling. They need to eat, sleep, have fun and also protect themselves. You, as a God, will be responsible for making them better in what they do. The game is currently in v0.0.7 and there are 4 professions 100% working, together with the Job Core System also working. Soon we will also have a FAQ list.

Right now we want to polish details to see if it will be super fun :)

Still this week, I want to create one more article that will show more about those details and, soon, how beautiful each map in game will be (nature is random generated, but animals, creatures, fauna and flora will be really nice.

Please, give us your feedback whenever you can.

Cheers

T4 Team
