It was surprisingly easy to get very good team. And here we are already doing the prototype, making a small video, and completely messy and spontaneously show all our work on Greenlight. Now we are waiting for the result.
Now a little about what we got, and in about the kitchen)
In many ways, we were inspired by the old game Homeworld. There is a truly atmospheric and very colorful space, an interesting plot. But this level of the game we would not have pulled. In this case, there is a good example of a really high-quality, replayable and interesting gameplay in the 2d game - it's FTL.
The basis of our game will be a real-time battle with a tactical pause. To make them as interesting as possible, we made many ships, a lot of different weapons, active and passive modules, besides, we planned a dangerous environment (radioactive fields, asteroids, black holes).

Add a bit of strategy - passing through the map of the galaxy and a map of sectors can and should be planned, based on the state of your fleet, how much fuel and what tactical goals you currently have.
We introduce improvements for the ship, pumping, active and passive modules, unique devices (for example, for boarding), and places where all this can be found - shops or small tasks. And in the end - we add spice to our game with an interesting but unobtrusive story - in the style of good old science fiction of the 80-90s, small quests that give us an idea of ​​the game universe.
