So potion brewing is being implemented; pick some ingredients and make yourself a tasty brew!

Hey!
Sorry it's taken me a month to get another news update together; personal life had this annoying habit of getting in the way! But anyway, onto the news update.

Potion brewing is the latest feature being implemented into Dungeon Buster; through the brewing system the player will be able to combine 'base' and 'catalyst' ingredients to create a variety of potions to help (or hinder) in their journey. Brewing can only be done at brewing tables, which are conveniently (mostly) located in both the overworld and dungeons.

Here's what the brewing table looks like ingame, along with a couple of collectible plants which act as the base/catalyst for potions:

And the WIP brewing GUI:

And finally, harvesting:

That's everything interesting for now. In more boring news, I've been overhauling the inner workings of the game engine so it runs a little more intuitively, which is very important since this project will be open source.

Anyway, that's it for now.

Peace out!

I noticed that when the player picks up the dungeon wort, it says "You got some Dungeon Wart." IMO that looks and sounds bad. Something like "You picked up a/some Dungeon Wort," or "You found a/some dungeon wort."

Just my opinion.

I agree, the current 'collect' popup message looks terrible, I will be changing it per your suggestion, and might also make it into something more visual like an icon.

The game is looking nice cant wait for it to come out this looks awesome. Also will there be mod support cause that would be awesome to be able to make your own adventures in a update after we have played through the game. Mod support would make this game stay alive which most competition doesn't relies until everybody asks for it when there bored of the game so with mods you can add new adventures and stories and it adds incentive for people to want to pay more for it.
