Post news Report RSS Announcement - "Rainswept" - A point and click murder mystery

A couple is found dead in their kitchen. Their neighbors say it's obvious what's happened - the relationship was abusive, it was only a matter of time. You play as Detective Anderson, who feels there's more to it than the lack of evidence suggests. What he doesn't realize is that the further he pursues this case, the more his own past shall come back to haunt him.

Hello everyone!

After months of working on building the foundations, tweaking the storyline, creating characters and building levels with placeholder art, it's time to go public with this project!

The game is still in the very early stages of development, but what it (and I) desperately needs is some feedback. For this, I have finally finalized a name for the game, and started putting out media and news about Rainswept on the internet (such as right now, on IndieDB!)

Expect steady updates in the forthcoming days, with possibly a trailer somewhere around October 2017. A demo of the game should be ready by the month of November as well.

If by any chance you missed the description of what this game is about, you can read it here:

Rainswept is a murder mystery, point and click adventure game dealing with themes of love, relationships, abuse and guilt, with a focus on delivering an emotional story, tied together with dream-like art, deep characters and a moving soundtrack. Rainswept's inspirations are media such as Twin Peaks and South Korean murder mystery/ neo noir films.

Speaking of a moving soundtrack, here's a preview to get you in the mood! The soundtrack is being composed by Micamic, the composer behind the amazing indie title "The Cat Lady"

Have fun, and hope to see you again next time!
