I'm really enjoying this title, already feel it's well worth the price.

I definitely concur with the first item here, though it is a way to gain more XP, so it may be intentional.

Auto-target would certainly be a nice touch.

I'm undecided on the your level vs monster level -- though I think some general indication, especially when first entering a quest area, would be useful. You know, something along the lines of "Suggested level for this area: 5 " for example. I know this may be more involved than it sounds though. I don't know if monster's levels change with yours.

There was a demo released for this a while ago. You will have to go to Underail's site to download it though I believe.

You can get the English version on GOG.COM, as well as Steam.

I figured something like that was going on. It's a shame really. Hope that things are resolved soon.

Looks like the game was compiled with Debug, rather than release configuration. The debug versions of the dlls (and there appear to be 2 required) are not normally distributed.

You should be able to find both MSVCP100D.DLL and MSVCR100d.dll if you google the file names. These files can be downloaded and copied into the install folder (Typically under Desura\Common\two-shields.

I hope this gets you going.

I just played it for a brief bit, and have absolutely no complaints. Folks who do not play, should not be posting reviews. It just doesn't make sense.

Found this info on his twitter page:

BMT Micro people can get it now, Desura people need to wait for them to publish it (15 hours old).

Note that Desura must authorize the version update, before it can be downloaded and installed.

Once this occurs, it should automatically give you the option to update when you run the program.

I like what I've seen thus far, and did in fact pre-orter.

I hope that things continue to progress well on this project, and look forward to being able to play through the entire game once it has been completed.

I had a lot of trouble getting complete downloads. For some reason, both of the sites I tried initially left me with corrupted files.

I did manage to download the four part archive from FileShack.

Link to the 4 parts:
Fileshack.com

I was getting speeds @700 KB/s there.

That seems to have fixed my problems.

Sorry I was so thick-headed.

I don't know if I am installing this incorrectly, or if there is some kind of problem with the distribution.

IF I completely remove the Beta 6 files, there are no launch (.vbs) scripts - so I do not appear to be able to run it.

If I copy the .VBS files from beta 6, beta 7 launches, but I see a lot of "not XLATED" messages, and I see a lot of 'Ith' or 'lth' for descriptions of creatures, instead of their names.

If I copy the 'missing' files from Beta 6, to Beta 7, I cannot launch the file. I get this error, as soon as I try to load an existing save, or after picking a new character, and attempting to launch the game:

Assertion Failure:
Location D2Common\DataTbls.cpp\line #2227
Expression: pbData

Beta 6 did not exhibit these behaviors on my system.

System Specs:

XP Pro SP2
Dual P4 3.2 Ghz
1Gb RAM
125Gb Hd
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AGP Video card

I really like this mod, and am very curious about the changes. Any thoughts?

Any ideas?

Just curious whether this mod is still in development. When I try to get to the MOD homepage, I am unable to connect to it.
