Hello! I know that the exact term for naming a person born in the USA does not exist in english. You know, in my language we call them ''Estadounidenses'', or ''Yankees'' or ''Gringos''. Pick the one you like the most. It's better than ''American''.
You know, the rest of the continent does not like that attitude. Those guys took over the name of the whole continent, is disgusting. I'm American too, from Argentina. We share the same continent, you know, with the yankees, i mean, but we don't share ANY of their policies.
So now i would like to speak to the europeans, especially, and every other country in the world. When you spell ''American'', referring to a person born in the USA, you are saying a word made for naming the people born in the whole fucking continent. So imagine how it would it be for a Italian, or a German or a Greek, if, i don't know, the spaniards would like to call themselves ''Europeans''. And every time a person from China, or Chile or Canada says ''Europeans'' they would be referring to spaniards and not to people born in the whole continent! It's not horrible? Well, that's exactly how we feel every time you say American to a Yankee.
CHANGE THAT SHIT
