Team GG joined Aug 27, 2012

Team GG is a development studio from Full Sail University. Right now we are working on our Final Project, which is a 5 month game project where a multidisciplinary team of programmers, artists and producers join forces to develop a game. The challenge is to design the game, code the architecture, tools and game from scratch. Our project is a four player, networked, multiplayer first person shooter with cool weapons that enable new interesting strategies to take down your enemies. We wanted to pay homage to older games in the genre, like Quake, with fast and fun gameplay. We named it Scylla.

This is the blog for Team GG where we will keep you up to speed with the development, design and production process of our game, Wake. But before we talk about the one, the only, THE MAGNIFICENT Wake, let us introduce ourselves.

We are 6 programmers and 2 producers from Full Sail University who want to dedicate our lives to making video games. Right now we are halfway through Final Project, a 5 month game project where a multidisciplinary team of programmers, artists and producers join forces to develop a game. Today is the beginning of month 3 and we are ready!

Wake is a first person shooter that you can play with up to 3 other fellow humans (or other sentient species, we don’t discriminate) and shoot each other. We have in mind some cool weapons with different effects that will let players be more strategic, like a beam rifle that shoots through walls or an assault rifle with bullets that ricochet.

Once again, welcome to our blog and we hope you will find playing the game as fun as we find making it.
