I'm developing Windows and XBox Indie games as Smudged Cat Games. I released an XBLA game last year called "The Adventures of Shuggy" and various other Indie games. I'm currently working on a title called Gateways.
Yes, this is an unfortunate mishap. The new version which appeared is in fact a very old version of Gateways. I'm working on getting the version removed. I explained exactly what has happened in my blog:
Yes, it's been submitted but hasn't been approved yet.
Unfortunately it's not as simple as just switching it to 'Reach'. The 'Reach' profile doesn't support a large number of features that the 'HiDef' profile does. Features which Gateways uses. I've looked into adding support for Reach before but I couldn't find a solution (it's mainly to do with the lighting used in the game). Sorry!
Sorry to hear that. Can I ask if an error box was shown?
There seems to be a problem with the version from the Desura client. I'm looking into it but if you install the game using the browser it seems to be working for now.
There is a file in the directory Gateways is installed in called keymap.txt. You can edit that to redefine the keys. I'm working on adding the ability to redefine the key in game which I hope to have in a future update.
Yes, Gateways is coming to Desura on the 13th of September!
Glad you enjoyed the game! It's been a busy week what with Rezzed followed by the Develop conference and a few meetings inbetween but it's been great to hear people's feedback.
There was a bug in the original demo where you could get further than you were really supposed to. You aren't meant to actually get the time gateway in the demo. This has been fixed in the current version!
