Say, what happened to those extra Xelu button glyphs? I kind of miss those, along with the older style glyphs from the previous update. Would it be possible to release those alongside the newer glyphs?

Another thing I just noticed: are the Cacodemon's mouths supposed to be transparent? This occurs whenever they launch a fireball. I don't recall the exact frame, but it does occur.

A couple of other notes: the chaingunner's hit boxes should be slightly smaller than the sprite itself. I hadn't noticed this myself. Also, would it be possible to exaggerate the size of the bullet impacts on the walls? I recall they were pretty big on the GBA.

A couple of bugs that I noticed.
I'm playing on the latest build of GZDOOM (v3.3.2)
There are purple textures on the chaingunners, and a single purple texture on the bottom right of the HUD.
There's also some purple textures around the save and load screen.
The rockets don't travel very fast; I recall on the GBA they were actually really fast.

You might want to try this:
Open up the game's console (Ctrl+Alt+the ` key)
type the following command: r_mode -1 (this should allow you to customize your resolution and FOV through the following commands)
r_customHeight XXXX
r_customWidth XXXX
g_fov XXX
With the X's being whatever numbers you want.

This mod is a refreshing breath of air. The HUD and Menu are clean and modern, the motion blur is quite subtle, although I would like to be able to configure this through the menus to be as obnoxious as possible, and most of the visual improvements, while also a bit subtle, make a tremendous difference. If I could ask for one thing, it would probably be proper Xinput input, although this is probably asking for too much for something not many people use or care about. I'd also like to be able to toggle between vanilla DOOM 3 sounds and the improved audio effects through the menus (I just really like the vanilla Pistol sound, wimpy as it is). I really want to see where this mod goes.

Well, after checking the official website, it's been a month since an update. Judging from the bars at the upper right of the website, I really, really doubt this mod is dead, especially when it seems so close to completion.
