Yeah the UI is EAC compatible so it's best to run it from the steam.exe instead. Sorry for the late reply
The screenshots above? Sorry, those are screens from alpha 8 or 9, very old. You'll need the XUI folder and xui.xml on your end (if on a server) to see our HUD made by Sirillion
Still having issues? If you want to PM me, I can get a copy of your outputlog and tell you exactly what's causing the issue :)
Players are going to need the localization.txt, localization-quests.txt, entire XUI folder, and xui.xml local and server side. It's better to just have everyone install their mod to sync to the server, but it isn't required.
Those 4 files mentioned I can't do anything about, just how the game is.
Hey, I'm going to try and get access to that stuff since my site URL is expired. I'll be working on this mod again later in the future, and include all that stuff mandatory in the download.
If you have the files, open blocks.xml in your config, and hit ctrl+f to "find" the "ball mill". It should tell you it's contents. I'm sending this from my phone atm so I couldn't tell you, but the code is very easy to read and contains all info you'd ever need, just need to do a little research
It's compatible from what people are telling me. Haven't worked on this in months, currently busy with other projects, and waiting on 7dtd to get further down the road in development.
Yes, you can simply open the creative menu and give yourself the books you don't learn after level 110
They are region specific. Tungsten can be found on zombies or mined in the wasteland or desert. You need an engineer to make the Steam Powered Forge Module to smelt Tungsten.
DelMagnic You need to make a Mods folder, it doesn't come with the game...
C:/steamapps/common/7daystodie/data/config put all the xml's and .txt files here
C:/steamapps/common/7daystodie make the Mods folder here (punctuation important).
That's it. Try checking the official forums next time. They have a dedicated "Mods" section.
Hi, glad to know you are enjoying the mod! The NullRef error could be the Xui folder and Xui.xml missing. Are you playing locally or installing the mod on a server, then joining the server? It's best to have all files installed locally as well if you play on a server, but you really only need the Xui folder, xui.xml, localization.txt and localization-quests.txt if it's peer to server.
Sorry for the late reply. All the vanilla items are still in game, the mod itself does not interfere with vanilla items (unless it's a tweak to a setting I didn't favor too much). All the custom content is built around vanilla, so it should work fine :)
As of right now no, but it is going to be a feature available in our next update :)
no, sorry, I just compress the files into a .rar so I can upload the files. The site doesn't seem to take the files any other way.
UPDATE: I have fixed the the looting and harvesting so the items you mentioned were added back to control panels, tv's, and ac units, as well as some new things from granite sinks and fridges. Please re-download the mod, as some files have been edited. Thanks!
That's actually a really old screenshot of the games original UI before they switched to the new system. I miss it myself :/ I need to update the screenshots come A15
Not sure why the games been doing that with our mod, it seems to happen then go away, sometimes stays permanent. Doesn't really affect gameplay, but definitely annoying none the less.
Currently working on a patch to add those back, along with a few other missing items. seems I missed it when the blocks.xml updated in A14.7. Once patched, you normally can electronic scrap in TV's, Control Panels in the water station and power station, and in AC Units. Youll need a wrench to disassemble each block. Pyrite has a small drop chance in boulders :)
You must put the Mods folder inside the directory. That folder is the icons.
If you are playing amongst your friends on a private server, I'd suggest using the sp/co-op version. The books are distributed into the loot table :)
Not sure what you mean. You only need the latest version of the mod (v5.4) and alpha version 14.7 of the game.
You might have grabbed on old version on accident, my apologies. And your support should know that removing any xmls from the game without replacing the default ones will cause the game not to work, as it is code needed to make the game work.
Open your Steam, right click on "7 Days To Die Server" and select "properties". From there, select "Local Files", and click "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache". This restores all the files to the original state, and puts the blocks.xml back.
Please try again, and check out the video tutorial in the latest article above for clear instructions on how to install :)
That I would not know. The download is coming straight from ModDB, and ModDB actually authorizes uploads before reaching a verdict on rather or not it is safe. 4,271 other people have downloaded the mod, so I would assume it is safe :)
Thanks for keeping an eye on SteelMod :) We appreciate your support!
I'm not INtense! but this is definitely a monster f*cking rig. Get it.
The values on it haven't caused any major concern for how long it takes for materials to produce themselves within the machines. We do have plans for a 5.0 update when A14 releases that will address the handful of key points made in previous comments, as well as add some new end-game type content.
For now, efforts are focused on addressing current issues and figuring out where to go next. I recently picked up a new job, so I won't be able to add as much content as before, in the timely manner I was able to produce it in the last few updates.
Hit the ` key and scroll up to check if there are any Red errors. If no "NullReference" errors appear, you are set! There are a lot of extra leftover icons in the Mods folder, so you will see a long list of notices that mention to resize them, but this is fine, it does not affect your game in any negative way.
Yes, but you can simply place it back. I didn't see anything they changed in xmls that was essential for us to gut the whole mod and transfer all our content to new xmls. I updated my server same day and it runs just fine on 4.1's files :)
Because we initially use ModDB as a source for our players to download the required client-sided files, such as the Mods folder and XUI.xml, as well as give modders a source for how we made some features in the xmls. It can be used to play with or as a reference.
You are free to tweak it all you want, that's why it is here. If you are that concerned about xp values, you can always use the vanilla ones the game provides, instead of ours.
