Although I don't have the computer or art skills needed to make a functioning mood, I nevertheless enjoy brainstorming ideas for fun. Sometimes, I post the ideas that I brainstorm so that others can pick out parts that they might find useful.

Not that my opinion should carry any weight, but I actually like this design. It reminds me a bit of BigDog ( En.wikipedia.org ), so it provides a more grounded counterpart to the more sci-fi Titan and Mammoth Mk.II designs.

Also, I'm not sure that it's entirely out of character for GDI to use autonomous combat units. One could justify the absence of autonomous combatants with rationale that GDI finds that they present an unacceptable risk of collateral damage. However, one could also justify their presence with the rationale that GDI is casualty averse and would rather lose robots than soldiers.

Then again, maybe it's just that the Gigacannon is so bad that everything else starts to look like a 10/10 in comparison. On the flip side, the Widowmaker looks pretty bad too, so who knows.

Interestingly, that appears to be a BMPT72 turret on something like a BMPT chassis (as indicated by the presence of the twin grenade launchers on over the treads).

The fact that his lips touched her chopsticks, which have touched *her* lips means that the two shared an "indirect kiss."

I just figured that it was because any harmful radiation from the nuclear fallout was negligible compared to harm from airborne Tiberium.

But that's just something of a hunch.

The idea of the Fighters being stored in racks on the outside of the Carrier's hull and << blooming off like seeds from a dandelion >> reminds me a bit of the Drones from Stargate: Universe --

Which is good, because I always did think that was an interesting idea.

Those...actually look a lot better than I expected they would.

If you want to avoid making CABAL into a Nod clone, how about giving the "CABAL Bike" Shmel-esque anti-infantry Tiberium rockets while making the Marauder-base "CABAL Buggy" into a light tank destroyer? The CABAL Scorpion, meanwhile, could retain its anti-aircraft attack to differentiate it from Nod's Scorpion Tank. Anyway, just a few ideas on what you could do with these.

Great job with the conversion!

Forgive me if I'm suggesting something that isn't feasible, but what about using the "wormman" for the "legs"/lower torso while keeping the robotic arms, etc. for the rest of the engineer?

In any case, great work so far!

Perhaps (3), but also make it so that they can't garrison buildings (to place greater emphasis on their EMP abilities).

I see your point. Strictly speaking, that would depend on the range of the Hub's gun and how far away you can place the flame turrets: if you can place the flame turrets far enough away from the Hub, then you can position things so that the Hub can only attack those enemies that have already bypassed the Flame Turrets.

Of course, that would probably require giving the players the ability to place their Flame Turrets *really* far away from the Hub, so I can see your point.

Very nice!

You might consider using something like the "Quad Turrets" from Kane's Wrath ( Cnc.wikia.com ; Cnc.wikia.com ) to have sniper guns attached to the Turret Hub. That way, you aren't completely dependent on enemy forces stumbling over the actual turrets.

This brings back pleasant memories of MidEast Crisis 2 Web.archive.org ;D

On a side note, is it limited to "Rifle Conscripts," or can it also produce RPG Conscripts?

It still calls to mind sensitive body parts getting caught in a closing zipper (especially the first part) -- I shouldn't have to explain why that would make me cringe, cartoonish physics or not. ;)

Overall, this seems good, but it seems like the Radio Interception support power is a lot more powerful than the Network Espionage or Power Signature Scan powers. That isn't necessarily a problem, but I just wanted to double check that it was intentional.

I also really like the idea of the Phantom because it's always nice to see a successor to the SSM from Tiberian Dawn, rather than the Mobile Artillery successors that have appeared in literally every Tiberium game and almost every mod.

It's also really interesting to see the Reaper return as a Flame Tank replacement.

I think I've said this before, but it bears repeating - the Adaptive Weapons System upgrade seems like a really cool idea. It seems a little similar in concept to RA2's and RA3's IFVs, but it basically turns the Kazuar and Hellhound into mini-Epics.

On a side note, I wonder if you've seen this ( Moddb.com , Moddb.com , Moddb.com ) defense from the Tiberian History mod.

Do the Biomass ever "lose" or undo an adaptation -- e.g., after adapting to cold temperatures, later sacrifice that adaptation in order to adapt to flame weapons?

I'm not sure what you're asking -- I'm not sure that it had gears at the base of it in the show. E.g., see: Static2.wikia.nocookie.net

Regardless, if the dev. team for the Game wants to make it a rotating turret, I don't really see why they shouldn't, and the work shown here is excellent.

Quadhelix - - 76 comments @ Triple Barrel Turret

Wait...did the "turret" ever rotate in the show? For some reason, I had gotten the impression that it was more of a spinal mount that could retract into the ship (like the bridge) than an actual turret.

Regardless, I do not mean to detract from the excellent work here.

Quadhelix - - 76 comments @ Do you like science?

I think there must be some level of miscommunication here, because quantum mechanics is one of the best tested models of all time - to the extent that you can "prove" something in science, quantum mechanics is proven.

Also, quantum mechanics is far more empirically driven than theoretically driven. The main "theoretical" underpinnings of quantum mechanics, wave-particle duality and the quantization of certain properties, were derived from experiment. However, there is no "theory" of quantum mechanics - there is a model that is incredibly accurate and a number of competing interpretations/explanations of that model.

So I think that there is probably some sort of miscommunication going on here.

Once again, the Xenoforce Reborn team wows us with an impressive new concept/feature for one of the original 3 factions.

On a side note, you may want to consider making it a targeted ability so that players can choose to save their nukes for the targets they want.

Also, I don't see anything wrong with using the name "Salamander" - after all, nuclear fire is still fire. ;)

If I recall correctly, the original Golem was supposed to be immune to EMP, neutron weapons, pilot sniping, etc. Is that still the case, or has the active protection system supplanted that advantage.
