Description

This will be the first stage background for the game Future Ghost, breaking away from the "traditional" graphical style of RPG Maker games. This location actually only appears for as long as it takes the player character to climb this part of the mountainside.

1. Pencils are drawn freehand then scanned.
2. Inking is done in Flash, using the pencil tool in Ink mode at hairline width, drawing with a smart pen on a Lenovo Miix tablet, to maintain a "hand-drawn" feel.
3. Colours are chosen from reference photos and adapted to fit the intended look of the game/stage.
4. Texture is added with shadows and some extra lines here and there to avoid having too "flat" an overall look.
