I have a lot of interest in Half-life and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding. These are two franchises that sit above anything else in gaming. Also interested in M&B Warband and Deus Ex modding, among others. I'm a really huge fan of these franchises, as well as franchises like Metro, Mass Effect, Tom Clancy's games, The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

Merry Christmas, ModDB!

Hey guys.
So, I've been around ModDB for some years now. This is really the site that justifies why I've opted into PC Gaming.
I started visiting this site because of HL/HL2 mods. The Half-Life series were my first games on Steam, and we're the reason why I created a Steam account. I really needed to play those games.
Eventually, once I finished them, I needed more, so I got acquainted with the modding community. I played a lot of mods, but things seem to have slowed down and now I visit PlanetPhillip if I want to get my share of Half-Life mods.
Then, one day, here in Portugal there was a gaming magazine called BGamer that came out with a PC game every month. One month, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl came with it. My friend usually bought the magazine and then lend me the games. I played S.T.A.L.K.E.R., I was hooked on it.
I bought the trilogy on Steam (by that time I already had a lot of Steam games and used it everyday) and then I also got acquainted with the amazing modding community STALKER had, and now I have over 700h across the 3 games.
Along the time, I've discovered a bunch a PC gaming "classics" like M&B Warband and Deus Ex, and of course I use ModDB to get a mods for these games (mainly Warband, which has a super active community)
I also look up some mods for a few other games like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
I'm also a big fan of Mass Effect and Metro, though it's a shame they aren't very moddable.

Simply put, I play a lot of mods now, and I thank ModDB for being the hub that provided me hours of fun in these last few years.
