I can feel the fights in the train yard are going to be pretty immersive.

Just the sight of the Freight Yard's outside area makes me understand the care you guys are taking into making this mod. You probably spent more time researching on how to make the levels look immersive than Gearbox ever did. I can understand the current international crisis being an obstacle, but the quality of the materials you just posted tells otherwise despite it. Hats off to you, and good luck for the next steps of the project.
The current art style seems to be in-between Blue Portals and Quantum Conundrum. I like it. That said, the contrast between the realistic potted plants inside and the cartoonish-looking tress outside is weird.
Good work on the details here. This is looking like an old hangar that was renovated to incorporate proper safety measures (handrails, marked platform and ladder edges, colored danger and safety zones on ground).
It's a real shame that this mod has been discontinued. I feel it could have worked well as a stand-alone game. I've replayed it recently and love how unsettling the atmosphere still is.
Glad for you that you got a job at 3DRealms, and I wish you good luck as well. :)
Looking good. Imho you can follow Crowbar Collective's example and not just keep the same exact geometry as the original. It's your project, you can go wild too. Like in the Hazard Course remake, you can add a full sequence in the lobby for if Barney starts shooting guards and civilians. :)
Also, I don't want to sound nitpicky, but you used the wrong symbol on the floor on the first screenshot. It's supposed to be the Department of Defense's one: En.wikipedia.org
Like Jeep Barnett, I can't wait to see what your team will do with the behind the scenes sections of Portal 1. Portal 2 had a different design philosophy for these parts, so I'm guessing your take on them will be quite creative.
Good luck and keep up the good work!
I'm glad to see someone is taking over after Insecurity got discontinued. Your maps of the first chapter look good. I can't wait to see your take on the train yard. :)
Light-based puzzles maybe? As in, the orange light is used to activate light sensors?
I do like the artistic direction of the temple, although I'd recommend changing the models of the normal buttons and light sensors. Imho they don't really fit with the temple's style.
Odd times we're living. Any commercial release is getting pushed back at best to June, and old projects resurface.
That's not a rant, mind you. I'm glad to see some of the most atmospheric Portal 2 mods making a come back. Keep up the good work and take care. :)
I like all the nods and inspiration to the first online point 'n click game in the level design here, but also to the rest of the original series through the game mechanics (finding masks for new abilities for example). This makes me wonder why LEGO never resurrected that series simply as video games when so much thought was put into it back then.
Btw, those models and animations look really good. :)
I really like that simplistic style. This makes me want to play Blue Portals again for the visuals only.
I'm loving the added details to the dome's interior.
Congratulations for the final release! I finished replaying the first two parts right in time to start the last. :)
I think this was one of the rooms you first started working on. It really looks good here.
Good luck with both mods. I'll be eager to play them once they're out. :)
Somehow it feels like approaching the blast pit in Half-Life. :D
Once again, great work on the mapping and the atmosphere, and I like how the portal gun reacts to each pulse. I can't wait to see what was hidden away in that abandoned part of the complex. :3
I like how this map was remade. The zero gravitational room is a good idea to use all that vertical space, and a nice break to the usual platform jumping puzzles. Also kudos on the soundtrack and new design for the weighted cubes, the mod is really getting its own identity with changes like these.
