While GTA Online is fun as is, nothing beats the amount of fun I had playing SAMP back in the day. Anyone remember the once great Awesome Stuntages server? I easily had 1,000+ hours on that server alone, as well as Crazy Bob's Cops and Robbers and others. This could be great if done right, hope it works out!

I got a small idea from SinKing's comment. You could possibly make multiple versions of the grenade, this being the more cleaner and slightly rarer version, always working 100% of the time, and another version being more worn out, scratched, dented and dirtier with a possibility of failing to work. No idea if that is even realistic, but just an idea. Same could be done with other items like guns.
