Looks good so far.
Looks good so far.
This was one of my favorite mods back in the day. I am grateful that others loved it and are keeping it alive.
Found my way here from a Tyler McVicker video. Looks fantastic. Can't wait to play it.
Awesome idea. I loved Hocus Pocus back in the day. It ran on almost anything.
Very nice. Lets get some!
Wow, I love the look. Can't wait to play this.
Holy crap. Kick ***. Great work getting this out.
Good review. After how much fun Black Mesa Source was, I got a bit ballsy and pre-ordered this. Within a half hour of playing it I realized my mistake. Won't do it again.
Thank you for the patch.
Wow, this looks pretty awesome. +modwatch
Lookin good. +modwatch
Nice to see Single player mods for Half-Life 1 still being made. Screenshots look fun. +modwatch
Thanks for uploading this. Will give it a try. Glad to see other people still remember Scientist Hunt :)
Per request I've uploaded the full alpha installer and patches. I was unable to get them running completely under Windows 7 64-bit, but I am confident someone else will be able to. Between compatibility modes and Virtual PC, it should be doable.
One of these days I plan on setting up my old computer as a Windows XP or even Windows 98 box to run older games that I have issues with. Maybe if by then no one's done it, I'll give it another try. In the mean time, enjoy :)
Thank you for uploading these old, mostly forgotten mods. I for one am glad someone did.
With many of the old sites that listed them dead and gone, mod authors moved on to other things, these mods would be doomed to digital oblivion.
I don't really understand all the hate. Do people want these mods to vanish? PlanetPhillip is an awesome site which I frequently visit, but isn't more exposure for these old mods a good thing? Who is really being harmed here?
I remember playing this and I still have the files for this mod. The full Alpha installer and the patches up to 1.2c.
The installer needs compatibility mode to run on Windows 7, but I was unable to get the mod running beyond that. If someone wants to play around with it, I can try uploading the files here. PM me if interested.
Congrats and Happy Birthday :) Here's to another 10 years :)
Happy Birthday ModDB! :)
It's been a hell of a decade and in that time I've seen so many modding and gaming sites die off. I still lament all the lost content when Gamespy's Planet sites stopped hosting (and now appear to be largely dead).
I'm really really glad ModDB is still around and going stronger than ever. Great job everyone :)
Coolies. I joined the Petition group. Nice interview, I didn't realize Valve owned the rights. I really wonder why they haven't put it on Steam yet.
Great mod :) One of my personal favorites.
