OOhh and i almost forgot ym using VPK tool but the program dose not convert png or tga files id dunno whay???

Im using Gimp 2 & dds converter and when i try to convert the tga or png files to dds files it gives my an error i cant remeber what teh error sed bocose my laptop hard drtive burned and i had to buy a new woan & copy the files from the laptop to my desktop computer i only want to learn how to convert the files to dds files so that the skin that i made in photoshop will apear in the game and mabe if i learn how to do dis mabe someoane will be enterested in joining a modin team foura agame mod if joining a grop that is working on a mod and neds someoane to make skins four them or mabe they are doing something els and do not he time to make skins enyway i will download & install dds converter on my computer and all tel you what the erroe message sed or mabe i ned a nother converter mabe you can give me some info on haow to do dis mabe ym doingit rwong mabe you can help my if you kan thanks
