Game Review on Oct 28th, 2012
Only put in about an hour of game time so far, but it's been good.
I really like going out during the day and exploring, but find the combat during the night a littel shallow. Wish there was more meta game to the tower defense stuff, and less running back and forth from left to right.

Great look and atmosphere. If you liked swords and sworcery's look, you will probably enjoy this.
Not really any gameplay to speak of though.

Even better than the first but a little less than I would have hoped in a sequel. I would described this as Soulcaster "1.5".
There a no new controlable units, and gameplay is virtually identical. That being said, it's still just as much fun as the original. There is more of a story (although I don't think I understand the story on the last level). And little touches like the icons for the upgrades are nice.

I'm only about 30 minutes in but I am loving this. The core mechanics feel really fresh, and the levels are designed very well around this. One of those games that is based a really simply core concept and then shows you how many ways it can be used. I think that comes through in Escape Goat as well.
My only complaint is a lack of story which might have made progress even more interesting. At the same time though, I'd rather no story than being forced to sit through an uninteresting one.
I picked this up in the Indie Royal Bundle.
