Wish i was one of the developers i could help out allot (can only animate lol) also using a free open world is trouble but instead when encounter a Pokemon instead of free attacks directly i think an arena pops up (no one can see that only your character standing there) and only can see the match IF they do )watch game) 4 attacks and the mouse button is a normal tackle and the right button is a dodge and you can choose up to 3 items to use in the match you put them on any button you need...that's a small amount of what i have though sadly this game is gone now SOB.
