i don't really like the new regular imp fire ball.
there is a little annoying high pitched noise when moving.
pinkies doesn't have any sepcial abilities. they act like vanilla.
feels wierd when all the other monsters got a lifting.

a friend tried this with the epic launcher and it didn't work. upon launching a game vs AI he had an access violation.
(yes, he only used the 2 first faction.)

helix should have bunker / napalm upgrade instead of gatling / propaganda upgrade.
it miss the tank paradorp ability.
usa drop zone doesn't give ressources every 2 min like it is told in the structure definition.

custom generals promotion powers would aslo be cool.
especially when some generals already got some locked units as free right from the start but you can still waste a general pomotion for it...
but it would also add some flavor back. (and perhaps a bit of imbalance XD)
overlord tank upgrade ability could have a visual overall to show that helix can be upgraded this way too (at first i thought it worked only for the emperor).
helix should get a bunker / napalm bomb upgrade for china infantry general instead of the gatling/propaganda. as such the galting upgrade shouldn't be available for them.
commanche could get its rocket ability attack back to either all generals or at least for the air general.
drone upgrade for USA could work the same (just like the overlord tank upgrades.) but only as one drone per vehicle.

it is missing some features from generals, especially for infantry (sniper, hijacker, hacker, saboteur, kamikaze...) and a few key unit abilities (such as helix upgrades/napalm bomb and comanche multi missile strike.)
there isn't any vehicle drones either.
but complete enough to have some fun.
i was surprised to see the upgraded missiles and explosion effects. they are really well done.
works also very well in multiplayer.
i appreciate the added launcher compatible with c&c online!
makes everything easier to run and play.
PS: i wish you would bring back the AC130 ability and the hijacker! :p

pleasantly surprised by this mod. just finished the main chapter of episode 1.
at first i didn't liked it. the gunplay felt meh with the colt. too much reloading and the ennemies felt like hp bags (maybe that's because of the arcade difficulty?). and you would be launched directly in action without much background.
i only stated to enjoy it when i reached the first "city".
you did a great job at making the player learn to not always kill everything in sight and wasting ammo.
overall a good experience but sadly too short.
i particularly liked the sub cavern map. the monster trap in the maze + the new encounter design was very cool.
sadly the end trap didn't worked properly as half of the "pinkies" mutants got stuck on higher platforms... thus didn't lead me toward the exist right away and making me run in circle for several minutes not understanding where i was meant to go.
the final boss, even with its cool design, was underwhelming. it fired too low so it was always hitting the platform you were on, making it a very easy encounter. a shame.
will the sterile version of episode 1 come back?

the quad shotgun don't have firing sound
the monster variation doesn't work. it is always the same ones appearing.
problem is, you have to pass through a highly radiated area not far from the beginning while you don't have any anti radiation item.
that alone warrant a load or restart... if the mod is like this all along it ll be more painfull than fun.
i am surprised you didn't mention brutal doom. it is the most popular doom mod here on mod db by a large margin.
it's even been in the top 3 most popular mod for years.
and still is.
how do you lower radiation? the visual glitch you get after the frist radiation area is unbearable.
will it be multiplayer ready? (fations for multiplayer) or editor only?
for mowas2 or CtA? GoH?

it has the potential to be better than the original game those assets comes from.
that will not be possible unless you turn all of them into vehicles which will never be.
also the rigid walking b1 droide you remember are from episode1. since then b1 droide learned how to run and many other things.
