You sir, speak the truth. Why did they scrap the harrier to procure the F-35? They could of used all of that money to maintain harriers, instead they blow it on a fighter jet that looks like its going to be used in the late 2070's. Besides Harriers could atleast be used until the 2040's (like the B-52H Stratofortress)
