I remember the first one being awesome, maybe i'll look into this in the future. Too many games...arg.
Would be interested to know, if this has higher system requirements than the first one. Despite the simple graphics of Creeper World 1 it ran pretty slow on later levels on my machine.
Maybe this was just a streak of bad luck.
Thanks for the advice. I don't have a problem with the high difficulty, thats absolutely fine. What i have a problem with, is that more often than not a "new game" starts me with an unwinnable scenario on the very first screen. Its silly to roll a new character and immediatly getting gangraped by three enemies at once. At least let me take a few turns until you kill me. :P
And again... right as i get into the game im surrounded by a wolf, a rat and a bat. Is the difficulty supposed to be this way? I've never played a roguelike that did something like this before... :(
The game is great and a lot of fun, but i think the enemies you encounter on the first floor are too hard. Out of my last twenty attempts, fourteen died at the first floor. Often times killed by a monster standing right next to my starting position.
Does it make a difference if i start the game from its directory without using the desura launcher?
Just asking because i like using direct shortcuts from my desktop.
Got the same problem. Found a fix:
Start dxdiag.exe or go to your windows sound settings and switch sound acceleration to minimum. Everything should sound as intended now.
Cool, will try it.
Thank you for putting your love and time into this project. :)
I like this game a lot, but i don't understand why there is no "save and quit" option. The way i see it, you have to play through the whole thing in one sitting, which may take up to four hours. Half the time i have to kill my characters because i have to quit the game. Not good.
Are there any fansites out there? Seeing that BOH was pretty much designed with user made levels and themes in mind, i don't understand why there isn't much of a community out there. I would love to download some usermade stuff...
(Don't get me wrong, BOH comes with a lot of content- but it would be nice to see what the fanbase can do with the tools you provide.)
Never heard of this game, there are only one or two videos of it on youtube and even on greater gamingforums like "neogaf", nobody talks about BOH. How come?
I found BOH to be surprisingly fun! Hope you can earn some money on it saimo.
