Hello I am Dementei, the dude that makes a lot of rooftop maps. So far I've made a rooftop map for: The Specialists, Double Action: Boogaloo, Killing, My Friend, and lastly Trigger_Hurt. Why do I make rooftop maps? Well, in my experience they are usually clean and simple, yet effective, as they provide a risk/reward approach in their design. See a guy on a different building, but you have to get over this gap to take em out? You do that, and you're automatically a badass. That's why I make rooftop maps. Be sure to check for any easter eggs, you'll know which maps are mine. :)

Hey, found this game from alphabetagamer, looking and playing pretty nice so far. Definitely could use some more ambience sounds (mostly in nightmare area) and for enemy movements, it's the main thing that's lacking from what you have so far. Otherwise it's coming along nicely. Wasn't expecting this part lol Streamable.com

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods and delete your "dab" folder and "da_info"

Oooo interesting, sounds like you are experienced in this sort of thing. Got a guide to build 2013 mods on mac? I can use my friends' mac, I tried using the guide on valve wiki to build it once but it didn't really help. I need something a bit more user friendly I am no programmer but I am good at following directions :P

May I ask why it looks awful? If you change your resolution make sure you restart the game to reload the shaders. If that doesn't fix it then do da_ssao 0 and da_prettypixels 0

I'm assuming you tried restarting Steam, or deleting the ClientRegistry.blob and restarting Steam, does it happen with other Source games?

That's not possible just yet sorry, would be cool to include a way to have your own player model even if it was client side.

For now I think you could only reskin the current ones.

Oh right I didn't check the game, I assume too much on Steam. Well, could try doing in launch options: -windowed -width 800 -height 600 (set your own resolution)

It's actually both, lightmaps for bsp, shadows for models.

Do you run other Source games fine? Check if you have the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer installed.

Make sure Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer is completely installed. You can try to download the DAB gameinfo.txt here: Sendspace.com and put it in Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods\dab although it should already come with the installer.

Ohh might've been all the new post process FX (lens flare, DoF, other stuff) guess there's gotta be an option to disable those effects.
