A weapon wheel is on my longterm to-do list, but right now my priority is getting a huge update finished for 2024 (don't have release date yet) and I don't think that feature will be part of that, although it is possible.
As always, come to our discord to get timely responses, we tend not to visit the Mod DB page unless it is shortly after a release.
For various reasons we don't plan to add compatibility with DNF2013 although that is a great mod.
It will be a huge update with 2 new playable characters and the largest episode we have made. As for when... definitely in 2024 but unfortunately I can't narrow it down more than that.

We have other brand new planned content in the works and probably won't ever include the 20th Anniversary maps. Also that episode is still sold commercially and we have never included anything in that category for obvious reasons.

It's possible that you changed the setting in AAUSER.CON file, although that seems unlikely. Here's what the setting looks like in that file:

The "teleportation" happens because the game keeps running while the screen is frozen. If you come to our discord I might be able to help you.

You have to talk with the empress then crouch on the blue plate to start the boss fight. After winning you talk with her again to teleport out.

I think most people play on Come Get Some difficulty without considering that AA changes how difficulty works. Gamers don't like playing on an "easy" difficulty. I have considered this and in the future I will add an extra difficulty level and rebalancing them a bit.
Your voxels are disabled for some reason. Either you chose the wrong graphics mode by accident or there is a breakage with the recent .exe not being compatible with your graphics driver. You should come to our discord, I don't check Mod DB comments very often.
It spawns a lot of models -- all those lightning bolts spawning on the enemies and connecting them. On some systems that tanks fps.
copy your .cfg files over when you update to a new version
If you are only adding maps with no new code or art you could get it to work, but even then you will have to know how to edit the episode setup code.
