A Linux version would be awesome!
I played the demo and imho this game has a too slow gameplay dynamic for me (walking, jumping, etc feels sluggish). Either that or I played too much Super Meat Boy. The graphics are beautiful though!
Oh come on people! How can you not "get it"? Didn't you play Battle City on the NES? It's a remake of that game.
The player(s) control 2 tanks on the bottom of the screen, the objective is to defend the base in the bottom middle of the screen, by destroying all enemy tanks in the level. Simple as that, there are also powerups around the level to help you.
It even has a page on Wikipedia: "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_City_(video_game)"
Some people just don't understand scaling of a rating. They see only 2 options - 10 if they like something, and 1 if they don't.
You on the other hand should relax, going nuclear over some haters isn't going to help. Wait for more people to rate your game an you'll get reasonable ratings and reviews.
Whatever anybody thinks of this game, I got to hand it to the devs - they chose good screenshots to put up here (cyberpunk & postapo locations). I might just want to try this out ;-).
There is still a problem with launching under OpenSuse (64bit) from the Desura client.
Error message: Failed to create (full game name here) process. [2: /home/username/ rest/of/path/ending/in/Dysfunctional
It seems there is a problem with the space in the name.
It's in the groupees bundle.
The price seems average for a casual game. What's more interesting is that it's an exclusive GNU/Linux version! :-)
Finished the game for the first time, failed to guess who was the bad guy, though I thought I was sure. But I somehow didn't have nearly any scenes with him despite having the (what I thought was the) related stat over 2x more than the others... Gotta try again later.
I got a dx11 GPU, but I guess I can't play this, cause I only got windows xp (and no, I won't "just install win7" cause it costs money and even if I had the cash I'm not interested - my primary OS is GNU). Seriously please use an OpenGL renderer. It's worlds more compatible with everything (except xbox), and it would enable you to make a GNU/Linux port more easily :-).
It would be cool if you could put Junipers Knot on Desura too.
Here's to a new version of the client app! :-)
Try and see. Unity engine games usually run pretty good on medium detail settings and resolution on anything 2core + gf9600 or radeon 38xx.
Thanks for the info - I'll also skip this game. It's a pity when a great looking game gets content cut just because somebody is not comfortable with sex. Come on, it's the most natural thing there is! Just add an 18+ sticker to the game box and let the game be as the creators intended.
:-(
It's great to see Dischan games finally on Desura! :-)
Yes! Finally!!!
I'm really happy for the new Linux version :-)
So what is wrong with an M rating? Statistics say that the majority of people buying and playing computer games are adults. IMHO there should be even more M rated games. I don't know of any laws prohibiting selling M games anywhere in the world except Germany and Australia.
Not available in my region (EU-Poland) also :-(. Creating artificial boundaries in the internet is just plain wrong (because the internet is just a single whole region). A dollar has the same value regardless of where the buyer comes from.
I'm also hoping for a key from the Groupees bundle.
Ah well maybe it's for the better. We still got the original Sonar :-).
The Linux version is very outdated here - it's 2.3.1 (from 2010) :-/.
