Independent mobile and PC games developer. 20+ youngsters located in Ostrava, a fierce city in the Czech Republic reborn from the ashes of its coal industry heritage. We’ve been making mobile games as a team since 2009 – our biggest success came with Overkill in 2011, when we reached #1 on iPhone US charts. Since then the original shooter game turned into series, and each new installment was a huge leap forward for us as far as game development goes. While the first Overkill was made completely in 2D, in the second we already had 3D enemies and gun models. Overkill 3 was our biggest game yet – full 3D world, 3rd person shooter, also our first game in Unity. We learned a lot about 3D modeling, did our own character animations in our newly set-up mocap studio. It truly was our biggest game… until now.

Hey! They are all hand-made :) We're going to get in more variety inside one specie by adding biome specific colors and making the alpha-male version of each animal (bigger horns, bigger size, more courage, etc.)

Didn't want to post the same things everywhere, but you raise a good point. Will think through how to approach this.

The cockpit is a mock up, the rest is in-game footage, in its alpha-stage. We have a lot of work ahead.

Glad to have impressed.

Thanks! Yeah, that's one big feat on their side. We're staying with multiple ambient tracks, but want to put event triggered switches. So the main similarity would be that we are also going with local composer.

Lot's of big questions at this stage. All of it is destructible with the right tools. Harvestable as in: Will I get some resources out of it? We don't have all the materials set in stone yet, but we are thinking of some bio-resource that you can obtain from chopping down trees. With oceans, and water in general, there's one massive problem in fully destructible environments - the physics. As an example, if you have a pond and dig a channel next to it, the water should fill it and flow freely forward, by gravity itself. Even a simple thing like that is quite complicated to compute, and there are bigger issues as you further explore all the scenarios. So not at this stage, not in near future, but we have been prototyping around to see if something will work.

I guess we won't escape the comparisons... which is kinda nice, but don't forget about the large-scale building/crafting that you won't find in No Man's Sky.

There will be many many possible planets. We only create different types of biomes and a special algorithm that players will use to generate new planets. Thanks for the question! Hope that answers it.
