Almost a year ago I went to buy C&C4 to fill my C&C games collection. By the time I didn't know everything about the game, and now that I've played it a lot more, here's slightly different "review kinda thingy".

As usual, C&C4 doesn't feature base building nor resource gathering. However, if a C&C fans buys the game for those 2 features, he/she probably shouldn't then buy it. I bought it originally just to get to know it better, and as said, fill my collection. I had watched some campaign videos on YouTube, and it looked rather interesting. And now that I have the game, I can judge it better.

The first time I installed the game, it took me quite some time, probably because my computer wasn't nearly as good as the one I have now. It installed all patches once I logged in to the launcher. When the game started, it didn't go to the main menu at all, it went to the log in screen in the game. I tried logging in for 10 minutes, but no luck. I searched the C&C forums for help, and luckily I found some. It needed some sort of Windows file thing to work.

The first few days of playing were fun, even though the game had the bad habit of crashing if too much action is going on. Eventually I got really frustrated to all crash messages, and took a break from C&C4 to play Battlefield 2 and C&C3.

Memory: 4096MB RAM
Hard drive: 1 TB
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.100618-1621)

I have no problems running C&C4, and I got to know the game better, including tactics, missions and units. Despite the lack of traditional elements of a C&C game, I like playing C&C4 every once in a while. Playing 5 vs 5 matches with AI playes is fun (I've never liked online games in C&C very much), but sometimes my AI allies play a lot worse than enemy AI's, and can leave me alone against all the enemies. It's annoying, but doesn't happen always.

Co-op campaign is fun, though I haven't played that much yet.

Game music is not bad, usually fits the situation very well.

Nod Support Class' Basilisk Warship has one heck-of-a-cool voice, reminds me of CABAL.

Judging C&C4 before playing it is annoying, yes, but often those who judge it before playing it, and then play it, don't change their minds. I changed my mind, and definetly don't regret buying the game.
