So it works great for me, except whenever I start a mod (either via in-game or by manually editing the enabledmods folder), I can't see the main game menu of any mod. With no mods enabled, I can see it just fine.

I have no clue how to do that lol, I just knew from prior paradox games what I could change in the defines and how. Most likely you can't though, I haven't seen anything that indicated manual map making abilities.

Putting Petroglyph to shame
Hover the mouse over the center of the ship, then hold right mouse button and move the cursor in the direction you want. A little green arrow should pop up in that direction. Slow, but it works normally.
So the S in SMG is back? That great.
I would like to respectfully note though that what really made this mod stand out was the strategic and technical complexity of it, along with the difficulty. Please don't change this...
I honestly prefer the one from the mod, I'm not sure what petroglyph was thinking with this one.

Could do the Scarif space map like Awakening of the Rebellion did some of their maps, with a map-wide planet background. Not sure how you would get a shield gate prop in there though...

Crash trying to play single player:
Windows 10, Steam SOSE:R 1.82 (clean install, checked integrity), LAA Installed properly (used fine with SOGE/Ascendancy/SOA2). Flood is off, only non-standard settings are double fleet size, allied victory, and quick start. Did not add new fonts, I don't want to change my base install. Version 0.75.1 worked perfectly fine for me, I literally deleted it and installed 0.80.
I can start the game fine with the mod activated, navigate through menu to single player match start, and start. It goes through the load screen fine, fully loads...and crashes about 3 seconds after loading, with the (I assume) modified LAA generic warning and a minidump. Tried about a 6-7 times, same result each time regardless of which faction I start with or which map.
Now the really weird part: I installed and started it on Dev mode to see if I could troubleshoot it myself, and besides the 300 errors it throws up during start-up and loading, it didn't error out after starting, and I actually was able to play for a few minutes before I gave up.
Ideas?

No no, I just need to get the .alo viewer working, this is for a different project requiring top-down views of starship models. I can do it in game but it's a pain to get them without shadows and other discolorations.
I would really, really appreciate that. I've been trying to get it or something else to work for a couple years now, and I was thinking I would have to teach myself how to use 3ds Max.
Last I heard it couldn't handle custom models and just showed bright green skeletons
What viewer/editor is that in the first screen?

Do you know how to fix the .alo viewer so that it shows skins too? I've been fooling around with it and all it does is show me ugly bright green models...and google has failed me.
